VMware training in Adelaide

July 21, 2010 Leave a comment

I’m down in Adelaide for three days of VMware training. My first time staying in Adelaide and it’s a very beautiful city with plenty of older stone buildings and churches. Managed to get two runs in already, one last night and the other this afternoon, there are good running tracks around North Adelaide.
The VMware training so far has been good, small class of 4 other people and a trainer from Sweden who is currently working out of Melbourne.
Adelaide has so far impressed me and I would love to come back here with Marguerite. Still trying to find a quality coffee shop, hasn’t been bad but I find myself getting very picky these days.

GCHM 2010

Last weekend I ran the GoldCoast Half Marathon, I started out with the 1:24 HM Pacers, kept with them for the first 3 kms, off to a good start. Settled into my pace and rounded at 40:50 for the first 10 kms. Pushed on through the second 10kms and managed to only lose 40 secs off my pace from my first 10kms. Ended up finishing in 1:27:45 net, a new PB and broke the 90 mins very happy.

Great conditions and well run event, couldn’t have asked for anything more.
